Common issues

For your safety, do not open the battery compartment or electrical connections.

For vehicles under warranty, we carry out all repairs ourselves.

01The vehicle won't start at all

  • Check that the key is on and the emergency stop button is not pressed in.
  • Move the forward/reverse selector to neutral first, then back into gear.
  • For safety reasons, most vehicles won't move while the charging cable is plugged in; unplug it.
  • If there is a main battery switch, make sure it is in the on position.

02It won't charge

  • Check that the socket has power and the fuse has not tripped; do not use an extension cable.
  • Note the colour and blinking pattern of the light on the charger and send us a photo.
  • Lithium batteries may temporarily refuse to charge in very cold conditions; move the vehicle somewhere warmer.

03The range isn't what it used to be

  • Check the tyre pressures; low pressure noticeably reduces range.
  • Load, gradient and speed settings affect range. Check for warnings on the display or charge indicator.
  • Lead-acid batteries lose capacity as they age. We offer a free compatibility check for lithium conversion.

04There is an error code on the display

  • Take a photo of the code, note when it appears and send it via WhatsApp; we can interpret most codes remotely.
  • Switching the vehicle off, waiting a few minutes and switching it back on can clear temporary errors.

05Something feels wrong with the brakes or steering

  • Stop using the vehicle and call for service. Brake and steering faults should never be left waiting.

06The vehicle won't be used for a long time

  • Store vehicles with lead-acid batteries fully charged and charge them once a month.
  • Store vehicles with lithium batteries at around half charge and turn off the main switch if there is one.
  • Contact us to book an end-of-season service; we carry out winter storage checks on site.
